We were so happy to help out with this birthday party! Instead of simply serving cupcakes – they put a “sweet” spin on things by making Cotton Candy “Ice Cream” Cones. What a clever idea.
Creating this tasty cones is a snap! Here is what you need
Now, for those not in the know – most of our Cotton Candy is a beautiful pure white – it is completely white because it is completely organic. However, this last year, we were able to track down some organic food coloring, so we can add various shades of color. For this project, we creating some pink cotton candy, to go with our pure white. The flavors were Raspberry Cotton Candy, and Fruit Punch.
After you have the cotton candy, GENTLY – compress the cotton candy candy down the size of a softball. You should be able to morph the cotton candy so that a portion of it will “fill” the cone, while leaving the bulk of it above the cone. The kids can dive right in and eat it like an ice cream cone – or if you prefer – you can simply pull some of the cotton candy off, a little at a time.
As you shape the cones – carefully wrap the cones in cellophane. Now you could probably just swing down to Fred Meyer or the Dollar Store or similar to get some cellophane – but I would recommend picking these off of Amazon. https://amzn.to/2E5M8Q7
While these “cones” were used for a birthday party – they could really be used for any type of event or gathering where you’d like to have a small favor to pass out.
As far as coloring – we do have a few shades of organic coloring to stay true to our organic product – but in the end it can be up to you if you’d like to add some other colors to these cones. If you have wedding colors, baby shower colors, or perhaps even company colors – we can certainly tailor an order to what works best for you!
We really love the way these Cotton Candy cones turned out. Contact us soon so we can help you with these great party favors.
